Peachy Canyon Rd connects Paso to the city of Templeton, and there are many wineries and vineyards here. L'Aventure, Opolo Vineyards, and Calcareous Vineyard are found on Peachy Canyon Rd.
Homes in the Rural West tend to be large estates, with mature trees, some acreage, and prices range from a half to several million dollars. The most desirable areas are nearest to Paso Robles, which averages a distance of about 6 miles from the west side. There are also two major golf courses here - Hunter Ranch and The Links.
Rural East is mostly large cattle ranches, 1 to 5 acres, and further from the cities...maybe 10 miles out. You'll find Stillwaters Vineyard, Cass Winery, Eberle Winery, and Sculpterra Winery on the east side.
