Ferrini Heights is a cozy community near downtown and with direct access to Bishop's Peak and Madonna Mountain. Hiking and jogging enthusiasts will be particulary pleased with the hiking trails provided, as well as a playground for children in the development.
You can walk to just about anything from Ferrini Heights. The Bishop Park Elementary School is right here, along with Throop Park, the Foothill Plaza shopping center, and the Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center. The San Luis Obispo Donut Company and Kona's Deli and Cafe are only a few blocks away, and it's a 7-10 minute walk to downtown SLO.
The housing types in Ferrini are diverse. You'll find mostly affordable homes under $500,000. but as you go up the hill closer to Bishop's Peak, the luxury estates begin, with vintage architecture and larger lots. Smaller homes can be as small as 1000 square feet, with the well established luxury estates coming in as much as 4000 sq ft, and several million dollars in price. Architecture is typically bungalows, modern to older style houses.
People love Ferrini Heights because of its location - near the University area, Bishops Peak, and nestled at the bottom of Madonna Mountain. The views from most of the areas in Ferrini Heights demonstrate the volcanic areas, the coastal grade called Cuesta grade. There are mature fruit trees, lots of them in this area, and people love its wide streets, beautiful sidewalks, and very friendly neighborhoods.
